Once in a while, one of our customers reaches out to see if they need us to resolve an issue. While we are always happy to walk our customers through simple examinations, we figured a guide would be helpful too!

Remote Control Batteries: If your mini split heat pump uses a hand-held remote, replace the batteries.
System Calling for Heating or Cooling? Ensure that at least one zone is on and the desired temperature is set well below ambient for cooling operation. For heating operation, you will want the setting to be above ambient temperature.
Is the Power On? Check your circuit breaker to ensure the mini-split's power supply is on.
Is the Outdoor Unit in Defrost Mode? If you are operating in the heat mode, ensure your system is not in Defrost mode. If it is, defrosting should be complete within a few minutes, and heating operations should resume.
Time Delay: If your breaker was off after turning the power on, wait a few minutes. Many systems have a built-in time delay.
Air Filters: Check your indoor unit filters. If your filters are dirty, clean them now.
